A scalable website the church could manage independently

Rebuilding the Digital Front Door

The Problem

New Church Website

New Church Website

Emmanuel Christian Fellowship

The church’s website had been quickly assembled without a clear design strategy, resulting in a cluttered and visually overwhelming experience. Busy patterns behind images and content made pages difficult to read, while poor navigation and inconsistent layouts meant important information was hard to find.

The site was also managed by an external company, creating delays whenever updates were needed. Without an easy-to-use CMS, the church team struggled to keep content current and relevant. A redesign was needed to create a cleaner, more accessible, and easier-to-manage digital experience for both visitors and the church community.

The team at Apptly did an outstanding job designing, building, and launching our new church website. They were approachable, professional, and incredibly patient, taking time to understand the heart and vision of our church and the people we hope to reach.

The finished website has exceeded our expectations. It is welcoming, easy to navigate, and genuinely reflects who we are as a church. It also includes a section on our church’s history! (Rachel’s Idea!).

One of the things we valued most was the practical training and ongoing support they provided for our volunteer team. They explained everything clearly and gave us the confidence to manage and update the website ourselves, which has been a huge benefit.

Since launching the site, we have already received encouraging feedback from people who first discovered our church online and then decided to visit in person. That alone has shown us how valuable this project has been.

We are extremely grateful to Jamie and Rachel for all their hard work, creativity, and support throughout the process, and we would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, personal and reliable service.

Key Takeaway

Clear navigation and simple content management are essential for keeping community websites accessible, engaging, and easy to maintain.
